Erne Campus | Passive House Premium

The Erne Campus in Enniskillen, Northern Ireland, is a Passivhaus Premium certified educational building, completed in 2021. It is the first UK building to achieve both Passivhaus Premium and BREEAM Outstanding accreditations.

The campus, which accommodates 800 full-time and 2,000 part-time students, features a curved, 4-storey design. It generates four times more energy than it consumes, thanks to extensive solar power and a bio-oil micro CHP system.

The building dramatically reduces energy use, saving the college £84,539 annually on heating costs.
