Student residences in Dublin certified to the Passive House Standard

The Roebuck Student Residences in Dublin, designed by Kavanagh Tuite Architects, is a certified Passive House building with 130 apartments and a total floor area of 3,097 m². Completed in 2008, the structure features a masonry construction with unitised SIPs walls and Trespa cladding.

It incorporates high-performance insulation and an energy-efficient mechanical system, including a condensing gas boiler and solar thermal collectors. The building achieves an annual heating demand of just 12 kWh/m² and a primary energy demand of 114 kWh/m², ensuring low energy consumption and comfort.
