Scandinavian Homes Ltd. | #1191
Scandinavian Homes Ltd. has been constructing energy-efficient timberframe houses in Ireland since 1991. In 2005, the company used the PHPP software to simulate and test the design's performance.
The house kit, which included insulated wall panels, was produced at Scandinavian Homes Ltd.'s factory in Sweden and delivered on a single trailer. Additional wall insulation was applied during the on-site assembly. To assess air-tightness, thermal imaging was used while the house was pressurized, resulting in an improvement in air-tightness from 1.0 p50 to 0.88.
