Project Overview

This case study house features a Passive House designed by Zeno Winkens MRIAI in Co. Longford constructed with sustainable Hemp.

This two-story dwelling is based on a traditional long house, located in Co. Longford. The project emphasizes natural materials and sustainability. It is constructed in timber frame with a hempcrete cast construction outer wall 450mm thick. A rainwater harvesting was also be installed. A wetland system takes care of the wastewater. The Dwelling won the 2012 national Green Residential Building Award. .
