Dr Berthold Kaufmann, senior research scientist at the Passive House Institute, will present a webinar on the important topic of Summer Comfort in Passive House Buildings on the 20th of May.
With increasingly hot summer temperatures afflicting most parts of the world, the issue of managing summer comfort has become an important topic worldwide. Dr Kaufmann’s webinar will present the basics of summer comfort and discuss the role of both passive and active cooling strategies in mitigating high internal summer temperatures.
The webinar will discuss a variety of climate regions and the most appropriate cooling strategies for the particular climatic conditions. The webinar will include examples of a variety of different building typologies.
The webinar will be approximately 90 minutes in length and is worth 2 Passive House Continuous Education (CEPH) credit points.
