The Passive House Association of Ireland (PHAI) as an affiliate of the International Passive House Association (iPHA) works to promote the Passive House standard and foster a greater public understanding of its benefits and achievability. This affiliation and the network with the 21 other affiliates globally makes a wealth of information available and facilitates active exchange among professionals, policymakers and the public.
In 2021, the iPHA Network will be running the “Efficiency: The First Renewable Energy #EfficiencyFirst” campaign. Over the course of the year, iPHA, together with its affiliate organisations will be running a series of activities and events to promote the significance of an efficiency first approach.
The United Nation’s IPCC highlights the substantial action needed to limit global warming. Currently, 35% of global energy consumption comes from the building sector alone. The operational stage is the largest contributor to carbon emissions, with the majority of this stemming from heating and cooling demand.
Therefore, think #EfficiencyFirst! The Passive House standard (or EnerPHit for retrofits) provides a pathway to meeting our climate goal.
Follow @PHAI on Twitter to connect with events and activities in Ireland and across the world and contribute with #EfficiencyFirst

In order to celebrate the announcement of the Efficiency: The First Renewable Energy Campaign, the iPHA are running a competition for their followers from the 15th of February to the 1st of March.
